Supporting emotional & psychological wellbeing.

· I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor trained in Transactional Analysis (TA). I have a clinical diploma from Metanoia, the UK’s leading training institute, which offers humanistically orientated professional training. Currently, I am in the final stages of advanced training to complete an MSc in Transactional Analysis to practice as a Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA).

· I have worked as a honorary therapist for CAPE - Community Activities Project Ealing, a West London charity based in the London Borough of Ealing for people who experience severe and enduring mental health needs. My overall aim is to help people realise their strengths by supporting them to shape meaningful lives for themselves.

· I have also worked at WLCC - West London Centre for Counselling, a charity providing free, low-cost counselling serving the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. People are referred to the service by their GP as part of NHS primary care.

· I have extensively worked in the education system as a pastoral tutor and teacher with young people from the ages of 16 upwards. I have worked in a variety of other educational settings including charities, pupil referral units and youth offending teams. Before training as a counsellor,, I worked for two years as a Samaritan supporting people in immediate crisis.

· I have experience in treating a variety of psychological problems ranging from unease and a lack of vitality to protracted suffering and diagnosable conditions. I support individuals in making sense of what is troubling them so that they can find their own way to alter their experience of life. I have a particular interest in supporting people with emotional distresses, which give rise to disorders resulting in depression, stress, anxiety, relationship and somatic problems.

. Currently, I am employed as a lecturer on a counselling degree programmes at a further and adult college.

· My practice is non-discriminatory, with respect for the individual, their experience and values. The nature of the support offered is primarily in-depth counselling with adults, although I also offer long-term psychotherapy.

· I am a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP), the International Association of Relational Transactional Analysis (IARTA) and the European Association of Transactional Analysis (EATA).
